Mr. and Mrs. John Kennedy of Fairfax, Mr. and Mrs. James Kearns of Arlington and Mrs. Lucy Huffman of Alexandria were weekend guests of Mr. Kennedy’s brother-in-law and sister Mr. and Mrs. Harold Benning and visited Mr. Kennedy’s father Jolly (Robert) Kennedy who is a patient in the University of Virginia Hospital.
Mrs. Jesse Smith was a Thursday and Friday overnight guest of her son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Carter and family of Culpeper.
Sunday evening guests of the Waver Kennedys were Mr. and Mrs. Benny Jenkins of Brandy Station and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Early and children of Culpeper.
Mrs. Annie Kilby of Culpeper is spending several days at the home of Mrs. Audrey Thornhill to be with her mother-in-law Mrs. Vinda Kilby, while Mrs. Thornhill is visiting her aunt Mrs. Gene Compton of Front Royal.
John Gaines entered the University of Virginia Hospital on Tuesday and underwent lung surgery on Wednesday. His mother Mrs. Claude Gaines is staying for some time with Mrs. John Gaines and son Tom.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence B. Dorsey were Saturday luncheon guests of Mr. and Mrs. L.S. Crawford at Culpeper. In the afternoon they all visited Mr. and Mrs. Emest Hawkins of Rapidan.
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Brown of Culpeper, Mrs. Gid Jenkins and Mrs. John Gaines were in Charlottesville Monday evening to visit John Gaines at the University of Virginia Hospital.
