The marriage of Miss Jacqueline Sue Many, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Earl Many of Sperryville, to Robert Allen Deal, son of Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Deal, also of Sperryville took place Saturday, Sept. 20, 1969.
The double-ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. William A. Harrison at four o’clock in the afternoon at the Washington Baptist Church. Lighted tapers, ferns and arrangements of white gladioli and chrysanthemums decorated the church.
Mrs. Paul Miller of Flint Hill was organist and presented a program of nuptial music including traditional wedding marches.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a full length gown of white linen in Empire mode with small matching bows accenting the front waistline. It was designed with long sleeves and a full chapel train. The high neckline and the sleeves were trimmed with embroidered lace. Her elbow length veil of white silk illusion was attached to a flat linen bow and she carried a cascade bouquet of white roses and stephanotis.
Miss Dorothy Ann Moore of Vienna was maid of honor. Her long gown was of two toned yellow linen fashioned on Empire lines with a square cut back. Her headpiece was a yellow satin bow, and her flowers a cascade of assorted colored daisies.
