io neip you acnieve your calcium need, home economists and nutritionists recommend that children drink 3 or more eight ounce glasses of milk each day; teenagers and pregnant and lactating women need four or more eight ounce glasses each day. Non-fat dry milk should be used in cooking, when at all possible to help cut down on calcium deficiencies. Calcium deficiencies can result in bone deformities in children , and brittle, easily broken bones in adults, especially among the aged. Calcium is also necessary for good teeth and it helps the nervous system to function effectively. So, milk is important, no matter what age in life you happen to be.
