Dr. Raymond Allen of Flint Hill will be the speaker for the PTA meeting Tuesday at Rappahannock County Elementary School. His professional career has included the practice of medicine and surgery and he was an assistant surgeon at the Mayo Clinic in 1933-36 He was an associate dean at Columbia University, Dean of Medicine at Wayne University and executive dean at the University of Illinois. He was president of the University of Washington at Seattle and served as first director of medical services of the armed forces. Dr. Allen has traveled extensively ant continues working part-time while enjoying country life in Rappahannock where he is busy lardscaping, gardening and relaxing at his home Stone House Hollow on the Fodderstack Road.
