Crashes Occur on
Slippery Roads
Several persons were injured in a crash on Route 211 in Amissviile Sunday when an International Scout skidded on the icy road and struck the bank. The vehicle hit directly on a large toulder jutting from the raibankment, according to Trooper W. A. Buntin. Damage to the vehicle w« estimated at
The 1965 Scout was operated by Earl D. Neslen of Washington, D. C. who sustained a fractured jaw and dislocation of teeth, broken ribs and a concussion. His son, Mark Neslen, 16, had cuts and bruises of the face and hands, and another son, David, 13, had a small bone in his band broken and numerous cuts. Raymond Terrafranca, 15, sustained a broken jaw and teeth knocked out and a badly bruised back. They were taken to Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton and transferred to Fairfax and other hospitals in the metropolitan area. Two cars collided in the Town of Washington at the caution light the same day. John Whitby Dobbins of Silver Spring, Md., operating a 1966 Mustang sideswlped a 66 Dodge operated by Moulton Moore Wicks of Culpeper. Damage to the Wicks car was set at $250 and at $100 to Dobbins, who was charged with failing to drive to the right of the center of the road.
