Program Needed for
Domestic Training
Questionaires are being circulated in the county to determine the need of holding training aeaaions for domettic help. The purpote of these questional ret it to find out if there it enough interact' to warrant such a program which would be planned and executed by the Extension Service at no charge to the participants. It is thought that this would enable those persons, who are unemployed at the moment to gain skills to seek employment plus update the skills of those persons already employed as domestic help.
A tentative program has been set up, however, it is subject to change. This programincludes: Proper use and care of appliances; Ironing, Laundry techniques; Time-saving cleaning techniques; Care of furniture and floor surfaces; Care of children; Preparing food; and Ethics.
If there is enough interest shown in this program, it would probably involve one afternoon a week for six weeks; upon completion, each participant would receive a certificate.
