Winners Named in
Jr. 4-H Contests
Thirty-eight 4-H’ers participated in the Junior Demonstration Contests held at the Rappahannock Elementary School on March 20. Those receiving blue awards were: Charles Fox, Andy Nichols, Darlene Fox, Mary Brooke Massie, Beth Parker, Sue Titchenell, Wendy Davis, Chucky Sisk, Steve Jenkins, Sherry Settle, Donna Stove, Diane Taylor and Patsy Vest.
Red awards went to Franklin Williams, Billy Dressier, Ginger Scudere, Debbie Smoot, Linda Hudson, Sue Foster, Bert Gilkey, Maty Jordan, Kressie Kens ton, Anita Roy, Roberta Harrison, Allen Vest, Shelia Bailey, Bridgett Brown, Joyce Deal, Kim Estes, Debbie Grigsby, Terry Leake, Curtis Nichols, Kelly Perdue and Pam Settle.
White award winners were: Carl Menefee, Carolyn Beahm, Joyce Jenkins, and Rebecca Gallihugh. The Senior 4-H Club judged the event. Judges were Amy Palmer, Betty Jenkins, Betty Lee, Bonnie Lillard, Charla Sisk, John Paul Dodson, Ricky Gore and Susan Dodson.
Four-H’ers gain poise, confidence and self assurance before groups through giving demonstrations and illustrated talks.
Easter Breakfast at Forest Grove School
The Forest Grove Baptist Church will sponsor the annual Easter Sunday morning breakfast at the Forest Grove School at 7 a.m. The breakfast will follow Sunrise Services and the public is extended a cordial invitation. There is no charge for the breakfast, however a silver offering is acceptable.
