The usual fine fare was served Friday night when the Amissville Ladies Auxiliary feted the firemen, junior firemen and guest with the 17th annual banquet in appreciation of the dedicated service throughout the year.
Ralph H. Rowzie, acted as Toastmaster, and led the group of over 100 in singing America. This was followed by the Rev. Charles Kindred with the Invocation and a word of welcome from auxiliary president Mrs. Edith Hackley. Dinner Music was provided by Mrs. Ealine Layman at the piano.
Tables were decorated to carry out the St. Patrick’s Day theme and the centerpiece of mixed flowers was provided by Modern Florists, Culpeper.

PTA To Sponsor Rummage Sale April 11
The PTA of the Rappahannock Elementary School is sponsoring a Rummage Sale on Saturday, April 11 from 10 a m. to 3 p.m. in the school auditorium. Spring is here, so when you are cleaning out your closets and find clothing in usable condition which you no longer have use for ■ think PTA! Items may be left at the Washington Cash Store, Hackley’s Store in Amissville, Bradford's Store In Flint Hill, the Corner Store in Sperryvllle, and at the Elementary School. Baked goods and spring plants will also be on sale.
