Mrs. Edith Hackley, president of the Amissville Ladies Auxiliary, looks on as Mrs. Alice Hitt, vice president, presents a check for $2,500 to Braxton James, Chief of Amissville Fire Department. The gift was made Friday evening during the annual banquet sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary in honor of Amissville firemen and guests. More than one hundred were present for the ham and turkey dinner and program which followed.
