Merrill, proprietor of Merrill Motor Company at Washington, Va., is celebrating his 41st year as a Ford Dealer in Rappahannock County. He has just been joined by Netus “Sonny” Brown of Sperryville as salesman and assistant manager of the firm. Mr. Merrill began his sales career when Model A’s cost about $300 wholesale, he said, and many, many Fords have been marketed by him. He has a full service garage and service station in connection with his dealership and has handled Standard Oil products for even a longer period of time. Mr. Merrill has in time past been very active with the Washington Fire Department and other civic and community activities.
