An American craft known as the Jocelyn-C was accosted by a Cuban patrol boat well outside Cuban territorial waters on Sunday, March 1. The Jocelyn-C, a treasure-hunt vessel equipped with electronic devices for surveying the ocean floor for sunken treasure, was reportedly operating 15 miles off Cuban shores when she was approached by the Cuban patrol boat. Just before the illegal boarding, the skipper of the U.S.jcraft managed to radio for help. The call was answered by the UJS. Coast Guard Cutter “STEADFAST’ with Firsnunfcr * Ajytnmiice C. Burrell Wood, Jr. aboard. The cutter had been on patrol duty off its nearest port of call at Miami.
