A lady called a few days ago and wanted a copy of the following prayer. “God grant us the serenity to accept the things we cannot change, the courage to change the things we can, and the wisdom to know the difference.” In our discussion as to changing things, I told her that if we all bad the ability to change things to suit our individual whims, the world would be a sad place in which to dwell. A change that would suit one person would be contrary to another person’s desires.
