4-H Camp Set July 13-18
Four-H camp dates are July 13-18. Rappahannock 4-H’ers will camp with Clarke and Warren counties at Powell’s Fort Camp in the George Washington National Forest.
Parents are urged to plan theii summer vacation now so that their youngsters will be able tc take advantage of this activity.
Truck and Car Collide At Huntly
Two vehicles were involved in a traffic collision on Route 522 at Huntly on March 27 at 7 a.m. A 61 Ford fuel truck operated by John William Kindall and owned by Nich North & Son of Huntly and a 65 Mustang operated by Daniel Figgins of Front Royal collided.
According to Trooper W. A. Buntin, the fuel truck had entered the highway and was traveling south when the Mustang came over a rise, applied his brakes and skidded sideways into the rear of the truck. It then ran off the left of the highway and turned over on its side.
Figgins was taken to Warren Memorial Hospital by the Flint Hill Rescue unit where he was treated for a back injury and lacerated leg, and released. He was charged with reckless driving.
