Ten Injured in
Two-Car Crash
Several traffic crashes occurred during the weekend, one ih which ten persons were slightly injured. A single-car crash took place Friday night about 9:30 west of Sperryville on Route 522. Oswaldo Gill Reballedo of Culpeper, operating a 1960 Plymouth, ran off the right of the road and struck a guard rail. He| was charged with reckless driving by Trooper J. B. odson of Culpeper, a passenger in the vehicle, sustained lacerations of the chin and leg.
Two vehicles met on the crest of a hill Saturday on Route 621 and collided. Involved in the crash which occurred at 1 p.m. was Ethel Witten Sanger of Washington, Va. operating a 1963 Oldsmobile and John Marshall Atkins of Sperryville in a 1969 Chevrolet convertible. No charges were made.
At 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Massies Corner, the intersection of Routes 211 and 522 two vehicles were involved in a collision which resulted in injury to ten persons.
According to Trooper Willis, Noel Albert D^backer of Bethesda, Md., driving a 68 Olds, approached the intersection on Route 522 and stopped. Me pulled into Route 211 and struck a 68 Mercury operated by Pedro Hechabarria of Arlington who was traveling west. Six passengers in the Mercury were taken to Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal where they were treated and released. Four passengers in the Debacker vehicle were taken to Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton where they were also treated and released.
Debacker was charged with reckless driving.
National F.H.A.
Week April 5-11
April 5 through 11 has been designated National FHA Week. During this week Members of Future Homemakers of America will carry obi special projects and activities designed to share their experiences and achievements with family, friends and neighbors.
The theme chosen for this year’s National FHA Week is “25 Years of Sterling Opportunity,” tying in with the objective for this 25th anniversary year Future Homemakers of America, 'To Promote Communication for the Improvement of Human Relationships.”
Miss Jane Coleman, Chapter Advisor at Rappahannock County High School, points out that several million young people have been challenged by the unlimited opportunities offered through membership in FHA groups since its establishment 25 years ago. FHA Is composed of home economic students in junior and senior high school.
The 25 members of the Rappahannock FHA Chapter have scheduled a tea for teachers to be held Thursday and have fixed a bulletin board featuring their week.
