Recently some interested citizens of Rappahannock County met to explore the need of i Mental Health Association for the county. Two of the main reasons for the necessity of establishing an Association are: (1) Mental Health Information must be made available for public education, and (2) the cost of private psychiatric care is out of reach for most people.
Among the speakers for the evening were the Rev. Mr. Horace Douty, Chairman of the Culpeper Mental Health Clinic. He explained how the Culpeper Association started and outlined the services it provides today.

Summer Schedule
Miss Sandra Foster, Work Study Student, and Miss Judy Burtner, Extension Agent, met in six different areas of the county the 2nd week of June to organize youth groups for girls 8 years of age and older. Three were formed: Amissville, Chester Gap and Sperryville. These groups will meet once a week during the summer months. They voted to work in the area of crafts: wire sculpture, batiking, tye dying and others. The dates and places were 1 decided upon and are as follows with the girls enrolled:
