funeral service for Joeeph Morgan Durden of Sum Mills, formerly of Sperryville, was held Tuesday at 11 a.fh. in Culpeper National Cemetery. The Rev. William A. Harrison conducted the service.
Mr. Durden, 56, an automobile body repairman, died June 11, 1970 in Culpeper Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Macon, Ga., the son of the late William Morgan Durden and Odessa Holloway Duren. He served in the U. S. Navy in World War II. He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Bonnie Marie Daily; three sons, Richard Morgan Durden of Ocala, Fia., William Harvey Durden of Columbia, S. C., and Joseph Lewis Durden of Sperryville; three daughters, Miss Gloria Jean Durden of Culpeper, Mrs. Bonnie Kaye Kindall of Washington, Va., and Miss Barbara Ann Durden of Sperryville; six grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Herbert Weaver and Mrs. James McPherson, both of Macon, Ga. Geest Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
