Mr. and Mrs. Paul Newton of Amissville are the parents of a son, Darron Lavern, born June 11, 1970 in Culpeper Memoral Hospital. The Newtons also have a daughter Michelle. Mrs. J. L. Walter of Amissville is the great-grandmother of the baby. Mr. Newton returned Saturday to the home of her uncle and aunt Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Riley where they are temporarily making their home.
Mr. and Mrs. Warren Wines of Rockville, Md. are receiving congratulations on the birth of a daughter, Shannon Cyrena, bom June 15, 1970 in Suburban Hospital, Bethesda. Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Halle of Amissville are grandparents of the infant. The Wines also have another daughter, Kimberley.

New Market June 21
NEW MARKET, VA. ~ Men in blue and grey will once again move across the Gelds of the historic Bushong farm here Sunday, June 21, at the third annual reenactment of the Civil War Battle of New Market.
The farm, now part of the New Market BattleGeld Park, is the site of the famous charge by some 250 teenage Virginia Military Institute cadets in their baptism of fire.
Members of reactivated Civil War units in 13 states have been invited to participate in the reenactment. Admission will be free to the reenactment which will begin at 2 p.m. The park visitor center, the Bushong House, will be open before and after the program. A new museum, the Hall of Valor, will not be completed for several more weeks.

The Holiday Lake school included training in gun handling, use of handcuffs, fish and game research techniques, and the acquisition and maintenance of lands for public use. Other phases of the training include a comprehensive review of the law conducted on the University of Virginia campus at Charlottesville and the basic science of game and fish management taught at Camp Pendleton, Virginia Beach.
