Jenkins failed to observe Atkins approaching on Route 211 as he attempted to make a left turn from Route 1002 onto the highway. Jenkins was cited for failing to yield the right of way. Monday night at 9:15 almost a mile south of Slate Mills on Route 707, two vehicles sideswiped. Oliver Wood of Culpeper operating a 1964 Chevrolet was stopped to make a left tum and was struck by a 59 Chevrolet pickup which started to pass him. The pickup was operated by John Lewis Jenkins of Etlan.
Trooper P. P. Dicks reports that he is continuing his investigation of a car stolen in Page County and found in Rappahannock. A 1962 Chevrolet pickup was taken from Graves Motor Company Friday night and was found a mile west of Washington on Route 211 Saturday night.
