Mrs. R. B. Rust
Mrs. Lelia Cowles Rust of Flint Hill died June 13, 1970 in the Medical College of Virginia Hospital, Richmond of bums sustained last Tuesday at her home. She was 69, a native of James City County, and the daughter of the late Henry B. and Inez Barnes Cowles. She was the widow of Robert B. Rust who died in 1951.
She is survived by two step-sons, John A. Rust of Atlanta, Ga. and Robert B. Rust, Jr. of Appalachia; two step-daughters, Miss Gertrude Rust of Arlington and Mrs. Mary Lou Naiswald, Manassas; a brother, William C. Cowles, Arlington and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Graves of Richmond, Mrs. Anna Belle Graves, Fredericksburg, and Mrs. Florence Richardson, Flint Hill.
A funeral service was held Monday at the Turner Funeral Home, Front Royal at 2 pjn. with the Rev. John P. Oliver conducting the rites. Interment was in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Acting as pallbearers were Emory Russell, Brue Wood, Edward Foster, Herbert Foster, Aubrey North and Lewis Corbin.
