The association can upgrade the counseling, guidance and psychological services in the schools and work to improve welfare and public health services in the county. Mental health is related to the stresses accompanying poverty, family dislocation, crises of illness, adequate nutrition, housing and general physical health.
Other areas of constructive activity can include informing yourself and the community of issues and answers about mental health, child rearing, family counseling, drug and alcohol abuse; working to create a climate of tolerance, freedom from prejudice, respect for others.
