Panther Tales

Basketball practice will begin this Monday. A large number of boys are trying out this year. We expect this to be one of the best years yet. With great Coaches like Mr. Hahn and Mr. Toth, a great team, and spirit from each student, what can you expect?
The Seniors are having a car wash this Saturday. If it’s a clean car you want, be sure to bring it to the High School between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
The S.C.A. held a meeting Thursday to discuss the organization of several new clubs. A PGP club seemed quite popular. Friday Survey Sheets were given to each student so that they could have a choice.
We would like to express our congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. James Adkins on the birth of a baby girl.
One person deserves much thanks from many of the students at RCHS for her help on our reports, term papers, and bulletin boards. We, the students, would like to thank you, Mrs. Moffett, for your great help when we needed it.
Places 4th
In Contest
Mary Frances Carter, granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Starks, placed fourth Saturday, October 24, in the Sr. Division of the District Make It With Wool Contest held at Riverheads High School, Staunton, Va. She was the recipient of a Dritz Sewing Kit. Miss Carter modeled a two-piece navy blue wool outfit consisting ' of a long tunic over flared slacks. The contest covered 16 counties . in the state of Virginia.
