including Rappahannock. Mr. Shephard outlined the training aims for each Scout as character development, citizenship training and personal fitness. One of the new departments in scouting that has been organized is for the development of those boys interested in medicine, veterinarian and church studies. Following Mr. Shephard’s talk, the report of the nominating committee offered these names for 1971 officers: Edward Lawrence, president; John Gillespie, vice president; Ted Settle, secretary; Charlie Priest, treasurer and for three-year director, Russell Hackley. A motion was made to close the nominations and the clerk cast one ballot electing the above officers. The all-day district meeting will be held in Winchester November 14 with registration at 9:30 a.m.
