Mrs. William H. Hutchinson of Amissville with children, Cindy and Karen, and dog, Pixie, who narrowly escaped a catastrophe last week when the electric blanket on the girl’s bed caught fire. The blanket apparently had a'faulty wire in it which ignited it, and burned the sheets and bed spread before the children were awakened by the dog. Disaster was averted as Mr. and Mrs. Hutchinson rescued the girls from the smoke-filled room and put out the fire. The Hutchinsons have lived in Amissville about a year and raise a variety of dogs which they show and sell.
