Ecclesiastes 12:5-7 (slightly transposed)
Mourners go about the street
Because the silver cord is severed,
And the golden bowl is broken,
And the jar shattered at the spring,
And the wheel broken at the cistern;
And the dust returns to the earth,
And the spirit returns to the God who gave it,
Because man goes to his eternal home.
Another man has gone to his eternal home, a friend. What a personality a gypsy, an all-around good guy. Everyone he met seemed to be attracted to him, instantly. I wonder if he ever met anyone he didn’t like. I met him through my wife, he was her friend first. Wonder what would have happened if he had not been the gypsy type. Good old stay-at-home Si won. But, did she lose? He could have made her happier, I believe, he was just that kind of man, a joy spreader. 1 I’ll wager that I am one of a very rare specie.
