Ned R. Stringf ellow
Ned Richard Stringfellow, 45, of Amissville died January 18, 1971 in Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton. He was a sawmill operator and a native of Culpeper County. His parents were the late Jesse Franklin Stringfellow and Mamie Spicer Stringfellow.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Helen May Stringfellow and three daughters,, Mrs. Virginia Wharton, Mrs. Peggy Griffith and Mrs. Dorothy Carroll, all of Amissville; and one grandchild. Also surviving are four brothers, Thomas, Robert, Frank and Bernard, all of Amissville; four sisters, Mrs. Edna Thomas, Misses Carrie, Edith and Mary Stringfellow, all of Amissville.
The funeral will be held today,. Thursday, at 2 p.m. in the Geest Funeral Chapel, Culpeper with the Rev. John Hodge conducting the service. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Lillie Gore
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Lillie Partlow Gore, 80, of Washington, Va. were held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Washington Masonic Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Jerry Campbell.
Mrs. Gore, widow of John Robert Gore, died January 13,1971 at her residence. She is survived by one son, Milton C. Gore of Washington, Va.; one grandson, Milton C. Gore, Jr., of Blacksburg, and two brothers, A. R. Partlow of Culpeper and Charlie Partlow of Roanoke.
Mrs. Gore, a lifelong resident of Rappahannock County, was a member of the Sperryville Methodist Church.
Acting as pallbearers were Reid Partlow, H. D. Gilbert, William E. Huff, John Gaunt, Jack Partlow and H. B. Partlow
