Wreck Injures Two

Two young men were slightly injured last Wednesday morning, March 24 when the car in which they were riding struck a parked vehicle on Route 522 at Massies Corner.

Bengy Allen Atkins of Chester Gap was operating a 60 Ford on Route 522 and attempted to stop at the intersection of Route 211. According to a report filed by Trooper K. L. Miller, Atkins was apparently traveling too fast, and when he applied his brakes he lost control of the car. It skidded off the highway, overturned and came to rest on a 67 Ford owned by Charles E. Huff of Washington which was parked beside the road. Atkins and a passenger, James Lawrence North of Huntly sustained injuries.
