Large as this amount is, it may be the smallest sum they will be called upon to pay, on an annual basis, for some time to come. The expectations for the next fiscal year, beginning July 1, 1971, run considerably higher. The budget counts on personal income taxes reaching $93.7 billion, which is $5.4 billion more than at present. For Rappahannock County residents to be able to carry their current share of that tax load and, at the same time, maintain their present standard of living, their 1971 incomes will have to be about 6.1 percent higher than they were in 1970.
Food Sale at Etlan for Fishermen
The Bethlehem Methodist Church of Etlan will sponsor a sale of sandwiches, cup cakes and pies at Etlan General Store on Saturday, April 3 starting at 8 a.m.,the first day of trout fishing season. Proceeds will go to the Church Building Fund.
