Funds Approved

The Federal Programs Office of he State Department of Education announced today allocations totaling $32,854 for summer projects to aid aducationally disadvantaged children in Rappahannock and Greene counties. The funds are arovided under Title I of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965. An allocation of $18,025 was approved for Rappahannock bounty to provide reading instruction to 120 pupils in grades ane through three. The program vill include food, dental, library, and transportation services. Green County was allocated >14,829 to provide first grade arientation to 120 children. The aroject will include food and ransportation services.
