Starting at Rock Mills Sunday afternoon, a group of hikers walked to the top of Red Oak Mountain where they were met by autos which took the drivers back to get their vehicles. The one aspect of the hike, anticipated with eagerness, was the mountain laurel in bloom. This, however, was disappointing for the blossoms were sparse and spotted and not nearly of the quality witnessed on other hikes. Among those ascending the mountain were Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Lambert of Luray, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Howell and children Denise, Karen and Gordon of Madison Heights; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Anderson of Bowling Green, Mrs. Paul Miller, Levi Corbin, Mr. and Mrs. A.
