Mayor Davis says ‘‘The Richmond Times Dispatch started all this off this year with a question “Whatever Happened to Dorothy Davis.' ’ This was picked up by Uw Evening Star which ran a feature story and also the New York Times. The invitation to appear on the Gary Moore Show was an outgrowth of the New York Times story.
Mrs. Davis is no novice to T. V. shows having appeared on “Two for the Money,” “Big Surprise” and the Robert Q. Lewis program. She remarked that there are always new rules and “quirks” to learn. After learning that the actual showing may be in the fall or even winter, and having only white shoes with her, she borrowed black shoes from Town Council Treasurer, Mrs. Virginia Miller, ^ho accompanied her to New Ycjpk.
Today, Thursday, at 1 p.m. the Washington Town Council is meeting at the Court House in a round table conference with two representatives of “Voice of America.”
