In the unanimously approved resolution, the Council asked that the State Corporation Commission, the Governor’s Council on Environment and Governor Holton declare a moatorium on all proposed electric transmission lines which would require a new right-of-way until such time as the state established a board empowered to grant due process of law to all interested parties, assess environmental impact, and, if determined necessary, restrict,, such construction to existing transmission corridors or underground.
