Amissville Homemakers Club will meet Monday night, October 4 at 7:30 p.m in the educational rooms of Amissville Baptist Church. The program, “Pressed Flower Pictures’’, will be presented by Mrs. James Smith. Mr. and Mrs Smith reside in one of the houses on the grounds at the Virginia Baptist Home in Culpeper. They are former residents of Sperryville.
Mrs. Smith will bring all necessary materials to complete one picture along with a completed picture to show. She will give a step by step demonstration on making pressed flower pictures giving helpful hints on what to do and what not to do. Mrs. Smith says making pressed flower pictures is one of her favorite projects.
Pressed flower pictures is the exhibit planned for Achievement night which will be held at Chester Gap fire hall on November 11 A workshop will be scheduled in October if necessary in order to * the pictures using flowers the club 5 members have been pressing this 1 summer. Visitors are welcome to attend.
