Mr*. Anna Williams
Services were held in the Turner Funeral Home Wednesday of last week for Mrs. Anna Mae Williams, 70, of Front Royal who died September 18, 1971. Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Williams was born in Washington, Va., a daughter of Charles W. Young and Mary Elizabeth Jewell Young. Her husband, Joe Willie Williams, died in 1961. Surviving are her mother Mrs. Mary E. Young of Centreville; a stepson, Maj. J. H. Williams of Jacksonville, Fla. and a stepdaughter Mrs. Latrobe Colton of Front Royal. Also surviving are five sisters: Mrs. Ethel McClellan and Mrs. Rosalie Hitch of Arlington; Mrs. Jessie Nichols of Alexandria; Mrs. Margaret Grey of Washington, D. C., and Mrs. Emma Kendall of Upperville; seven brothers, Harry Young of Arlington, Massie Young, Washington, D. C., Moffett Young, Vienna; Cary Young, Sterling, Va.; Aubrey Young, Centreville; Dudley Young, Sterling and Robert Young of Hyattsville, Md.
Mrs. Dorothy Barber
Mrs. Dorothy A. Barber of Venice Gardens, Fla. died September 7, 1971 at Venice Hospital. She was born in Washington, 'Va., the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Atkins. She was 60 years old and was a medical secretary at Venice Hospital. She had resided in Venice Gardens for three years going there from Ohio and Massachusetts.
Survivors include a son, Dr. Bryan A. Barber of Lexington, Mass.; a brother, Allie R. Atkins of Solon, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Lavinia Pickens of Omaha, Neb. and four grandchildren.
A funeral service was held September 10 at Ewing Funeral Home with the Rev. David A. Bowles conducting and interment was in Gulf Pines Memorial Park.
