Mrs. Bessie Parks
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Williams and son, Gregg, were dinner guests of Mrs. Earl Yancey at Viewtown Sunday.
The 1971 fall meeting of the Blue Ridge Mountain Estates Civic and Development Corporation will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, October 9, at the Chester Gap Fire Hall. Following the meeting a turkey and ham dinner will be served by the ladies of the community, the proceeds to go to the Fire Department. Harrison Mahoney was taken to Warren Memorial Hospital Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Williams returned home Sunday evening after a four-day trip to Knoxville, Tenn. where they attended a religious convention. Mr. Williams became ill since his return and is in Winchester Hospital where he was taken Monday night. Mrs. Bessie Parks accompanied her brother, H. P. Cheney, on a business trip to Alexandria Saturday afternoon and also visited their sister, Mrs. S. M. Shelton.
’Mrs. Lucy Williams was honored by her children, grandchildren and other relatives and friends, with a surprise birthday dinner at the Chester Gap Fire Hall Sunday evening. There were 53 present and many lovely and useful gifts were received by the honored guest. Sam North entered Warren Memorial Hospital Friday for treatment. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Sealock visited her sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Page Henson, at Riverton Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Georg Griffith of Rockaway, N. J., left for home Tuesday after a week’s visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
