Darlene Walters
Darlene Frances Walters, 18, ol Laurel, Md. was fatally injured September 5, 1971 in Baltimore while crossing a street. She is the granddaughter of Clarence L. Jenkins of Sperryville.
Other survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Q. Walters and a brother, Larry, all of Laurel; and a grandmother, Mrs. Maude Walters of Savage, Md.
Darlene was a 1970 graduate of Laurel Senior High and had been accepted at the National Security Agency at Fort Meade. A funeral service was held on the 8th at Donaldsons Funeral Home with the Rev. Franklin Perry conducting the rites. Interment was in Savage Cemetery.
Welch Infant Rite»
A graveside funeral service was held Monday in Fairview Cemetery, Culpeper at 1 p.m. for Michael Eugene Welch, Jr., infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael E. Welch of Washington, Va., born October 3, 1971 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital. The Rev. Jerry Campbell of Flint Hill conducted the service. Maternal grandmother of the infant is Mrs. George Woodard of Sperryville. Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Welch of Flint Hill. Clore Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
