Five generations of the Bennett family joined in a celebration for the 89th birthday of James Walker Bennett. Mr. and Mrs. Bennett, are in the center, with Mrs. Lillian Knight, Front Royal; Mrs. Bertha Foster, Flint Hill; Steve Foster and son David of Chester Gap. Mr. Bennett is a native of Rappahannock, a son of the late* Eastham and Alice Jenkins Bennett. He was married to the former Bertha Elliott. The Bennetts now reside in Front Royal. Mrs. Edgar Hawkins of Washington and Ellis Bennett of Flint Hill are two of their nine children, eight of whom are living.
