Stolen car recovered
AN AUTOMOBILE STOLEN January 4 in Washington, Va. was recovered Tuesday in Chillum, Md. The 1963 Chevrolet, owned by James Menefee of Washington, was parked in front of Washington Baptist Church while Mr. Menefee was working inside the building.
The ignition keys were in Menefee’s pocket, but the doors of the white, two-door coupe were not locked. According to Trooper R.A. Baines who investigated, a small vehicle bearing Maryland license plates had been seen earlier in the area.
Details of the recovery were not available at press time, but it was learned that the car was discovered on the street in a subdivision in Chillum.
