When a less expensive alternative for a needed transmission circuit is ignored, Vepco’s officials are either blind to bad counselling or are determined to wreck the public utility as a part of our American free enterprise system. This is not what the “nutty groups” want.
Vepco’s product and service involves pollution of our air, water and scenic resources. Yet, where in its annual report are we shareowners told how much money was spent on research and development to minimize environmental impact? How much was spent on advertising power use the company could not supply reliably?
