Culpeper retaliated, taking advantage of the missing Rappahannock runners, and built up points for a 59 1/2 to 40 1/2 victory.
Team members are enthusiastic about the return of interscholastic sports for girls and are looking forward to more competition later in the season, and, hopefully, to the first sports victory for Rappahannock girls since girls’ basketball disappeared years ago.
