The Warrenton Team had Emile Tabb in front, Col. John Lyle in the center and Joe Claffy at back. Mountain Shadows Farm of Washington, Va. fielded Glenn Hourahan at number one, Jim Hourahan at number two with Col. Jack Morris at Back.
Playing before a record crowd estimated to be about 3,000 fans, the Casanova teams staged a fast moving game that park officials claimed was one of the best ever seen in the Park.
Jim Hourahan was high scorer of the day with six goals and Glenn Hourahan scored another goal for Mountain Shadows for a total of seven.
Joe Claffy led the way for Warrenton scoring five goals and Col. John Lyle scored three for a total of eight. The referee for the game was Igbal Riza of the Embassy of Pakistan who is a world reknown international high goal player.
THE GAME with Lancaster, Pa., that was due to be held this week was put off until this coming Sunday so Casanova could open the season at Lincoln Mall.
This coming Sunday at Green Gables Farm in Warrenton, the Casanova Club will field John Gulick, Jim Hourahan, John Lyle and Emile Tabb to play against a team from Lancaster. Col. Harry Wilson and Joe Claffy will bring another Casanova Team to Lancaster the same day to return the match.
