of Sperryville has retired after 15 years in elementary education in Rappahannock County. Her initial venture in this field was a small private school in her home which she operated four years. In 1957 she accepted a first grade teaching assignment at Sperryville Elementary School and has continued with this since.

When the smaller schools ceased to exist and Washington and Sperryville schools were consolidated, Mrs. Lyne moved to the single central facility, where she remained until her retirement.

Mrs. Lyne was reared in Toano, James City County, and entered Madison College, Harrisonburg to study Home Economics. She taught adult home ec classes for the WPA pro
