EVERYONE talks about the weather, and indeed it has been the subject of conversation most of the fall and up until now.
Nobody does anything about the weather, even if ski areas on the East Coast, including Rappahannock’s, would like to.
Skiing, at one time was strictly a sport. It is still a sport, but it is also an industry, and a large one — still snowballing, you might say.
Jim Trepp of Duchess County, N.Y., has assumed duties as manager of the Rappahannock Ski Area. He succeeds Bob Palmer, who tendered an “amiable resignation” because of policy differences.
