WASHINGTON

New Year’s houseguests of Mrs. Bertha Armel were Mr. and Mrs. George E. Terry and family and P.J. Routin of Hampton. They were joined for dinner by Mr. and Mrs. Harold B. Estes of Lignum, Mr. and Mrs. Everett E^tes and Mr. and Mrs. Willem Estes and their families'. Sunday all were dinner guests of the Harold Estes family in Lignum and Mrs. Armel and houseguests were visitors of Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Woodward in Amissville.

Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Baines entertained with a Christmas party having as guests Mrs. Lee Swindler and son Bill, Mr. and Mrs. Charles K. Estes, Mr. and Mrs. James Swindler, Mr. and Mrs. Randolph Devers and Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Wayland, all ofSperryville, Wayland, all of Sperryville, Mrs. Sarah Latham, Amissville and Mr. and Mrs. W. A.
