McDowell C. Moore III of Alexandria developed an electrical malfunction as he was traveling east on Route 211 West of Sperryville Saturday and crashed down an embankment into some trees. The vehicle burned. Damage was set at $3,000 and all occupants escaped injury, according to Trooper R. A. Baines who investigated the above crash also.
James Lester Burke of Washington driving a 70 Oldsmobile struck a bridge on Route 622 as he entered that road from a driveway. This crash occurred December 31 about. 5:30 p.m. No injuries or charges resulted. According to Trooper G. F. Gregory, loose gravels caused the car to skid. □
