A good start IN ONE IMPORTANT aspect, Rappahannock County is off to a good 1973: We all got through the holiday season, as foggy and rainy as it was, without a really serious automobile accident. That’s not to say there weren’t any accidents at all, of course. There are always too many accidents. But we insist it is something to be able to note that there were no fatalities on the county’s highways at a time when the national statistics were climbing. Wouldn’t it really be something if we could look back this time next year jind be able to remark on a whole year free of highway fatalities? It could be done, if everybody resolved to drive carefully at all times, never speed, never drink and drive, always be considerate of others on the road — if everybody resolved, in short, to make 1973 the safest year there’s ever been on Rappahannock’s roadways. □
