RAPPAHANNOCK SKI Area reported Wednesday morning that the slopes had a 5 to 12 inch granular surface and night skiing would be added to the day hours.
For the weekend an exciting array of events is planned. February 10 and 11 at Rappahannock Ski Area a Fun Fest is scheduled with such events as a Sloppy Slalom, Torchlight Parade, and Ski Patrol Race — to name a few of the contests.
Sunday at 1 p.m. the Bonne Bell National Ski Patrol Race will be for skiiers 10 to 14 years of age and gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded. The object of the contest is to promote safe, courteous skiing. * »
At noon Sunday, members of the Rappahannock Ski School will show their bag of tricks. □
