Said H. B. Wood: “Ithought we had quality education anyway.”
“The state requires additional standards,” said Miller, “but they won’t help us pay for them.”
“It sounds like a good court case,” - said Wood.
“THEY SAY the tax increase would just be required for one year,” Miller continued. “But if the tax goes up, it will never come down. I think the only possibility of relief we have is to try to get the formula changed. I think it’s even, constitutionally questionable. I expected the county to have to take part of the cost, but to take 100 per cent is unreasonable.”
