I DO not support the changes in the formula for the distribution of funds to the localities for support of public education which will probably provide less funds for public education in our area than using the present formula with additional appropriations in the same total amount as proposed by the Appropriations Committee.
I have proposed an amendment which would use the present formula and would meet the standards of quality as prescribed by the General Assembly in 1972 under the new Constitution.
