“ALL CITIZENS renewing their registrations in the March-April period will receive plain license plates, without month and year decals,” Hill said.
“These licenses will expire on March 31, 1974. However, during the 1973 license year, an extension notice will be mailed, so that appropriate month and year decals can be issued. To extend the license year to the month the individual has chosen, a prorated fee (equal to one-twelfth (1/12) of the annual fee) will be charged for each month the plates are extended past March 31, 1974.
“For example, if July is selected, the car owner will receive a notice in June, 1973, to extend his licenses from March 31, 1974, to July 31, 1974. On payment of the additional fee, appropriate decals will be mailed to the owner.”
