. THE LADIES Auxiliary of Washington sponsored a buffet dinner Wednesday evening, February 14 for members of the Washington Volunteer Fire Company and Rescue Squad. The dinner was held at die parish hall of Trinity Episcopal Church, Washington.
Newbill Miller, chairman of the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors, who has long been active in the fire department, gave a short talk on the concept of volunteer fire companies.
The Washington Ladies Auxiliary was reorganized in July of 1972 and is devoted to improving community relations toward these volunteer organizations, as well as raising funds for their support. Anyone interested in this cause is invited to join the auxiliary at its regular meeting night on the third Monday of the month at 7 p.m. in the fire hall.
